Friends say they keep getting blurry photos since their camera/lens do not have image stabilizing function build in. There’s a method I have been using and it works pretty well. When I am shooting with a non-IS Lens, I take a deep breath, hold, and fire off about 3-4 shots with a single press on the shutter button (continues mode). It might take up more memory card space, but it guarantees at least 1-2 sharp images since it avoided the finger pressing motion of the shutter button.

This might work but I think it’s ok to use in static subjects like landscape/architecture. If you are taking images of people, you are relying on luck to get the sharp images and composition. I would stick to the rule 1/focal length = shutter speed
